ZHYMPITY HAS ONE OF THE OLDEST MUSEUMS IN KAZAKHSTAN

One of the oldest museums in the country operates in the village of Zhympity in the West Kazakhstan region, the correspondent of "Khabar 24" reports. According to historians, it was here in 1918 that the Western Branch of Alash-Orda was formed, headed by Khalel Dosmukhamedov. Photographs, furniture, clothes, documents and even an interrogation room – the exhibits of the museum seem to transport visitors to the past. Attention is drawn to the violin – the most valuable exhibit in the collection. Museum workers tell us that this musical instrument was played by the famous merchant and teacher Ivan Fedyanin at the IV Ural Congress of Kazakhs in 1918. The museum recreates the atmosphere of that period in detail. The halls are decorated according to illustrations from the novel by the writer Hamza Yesenzhanov "Ak Zhaiyk". Ainagul Oishybayeva, Head of the Historical and Local History Museum named after S.Datula: - The museum consists of four halls. They feature about 500 historical exhibits. But the most important thing is the red carpet that decorated the house of Zhakhanshi Dosmukhamedov in Moscow. This is one of the last exhibits that came to us. The architectural monument was included in the list of 100 sacred places of Kazakhstan. And a few years ago, the Syrym Datov Museum of Local Lore was recognized as the "Best Regional Museum" in the country.
