Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, who was elected for the next five-year term, delivered a victory speech in front of a crowd of 320,000 people gathered in Ankara on the night of May 29.

The Turkish leader thanked all citizens who actively participated in the election, regardless of their political choice.

"As in the previous elections, this time we will respect the will of the voters. Not only us, but all of Turkey, democracy won the election! There was no losing side in the May 28 election, 85 million people of Turkey won. It's time to unite and come together for our national goals and interests," he said.

The politician recalled that since the 1950s, since the administration of former Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, problems have been created to weaken Turkey.

"Today, we announce that the process of implementing the goals set by former President Turgut Ozol and former Prime Minister Najmiddin Erbokan has begun. The problems Turkey has been facing for the past 10 years were created with the sole purpose of preventing today's victory," Erdogan said.

Now all efforts will be mobilized to implement the concept of "Turkey Centennial".

Today, inflation remains an important problem for the Turkish economy. Erdogan emphasized that the new model of the economy is aimed at restoring financial stability, increasing employment and attracting investments.

"We consider elimination of damages caused by inflation and price increase to be a primary task in the near future. A new economic system will be introduced in Turkey, which will increase the opportunities of consumers, increase the income of producers, and reduce the expenses of farmers and herdsmen," said the speaker.

It is noted that the elimination of the consequences of the earthquake that occurred on February 6 this year, and the restoration of natural disaster areas will remain a priority.

It is no secret that the fate of Syrian refugees was the main topic in the pre-election debates between the candidates. According to Erdogan, up to 600,000 Syrians have been voluntarily returned to safe areas of their homeland. Another million refugees are expected to return to Syria as part of the house construction project being implemented in cooperation with Qatar.

The Turkish president also drew attention to the importance of maintaining the balance of power in the current geopolitical situation.

Let us remind you that the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey announced that Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the second round of the presidential election with 52.14 percent of votes. Kamal Kylichdoroglu, the candidate of the united opposition, received 47.86 percent of votes.

As we previously reported, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his convincing victory in the presidential election in a telephone conversation on May 28.
