In Samarkand, a Cobalt struck an electric scooter, killing two people.

Two people died after a Cobalt car struck an electric scooter in the Paxtachi district of the Samarkand region. The Regional Department of Internal Affairs' Traffic Safety Division reported the incident.
The accident occurred around 1:00 PM on October 9 on a road passing through the Mirkan *mahalla* (neighborhood).
Reportedly, the driver swerved the steering wheel to the left to avoid hitting a cyclist who had suddenly entered the roadway. As a result, the car veered into the oncoming lane and collided with an electric scooter. One passenger on the electric scooter died at the scene, while the other passed away in the hospital. The driver of the electric scooter was also hospitalized.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and an investigation is underway.
