Elon Musk emphasized that exerting excessive pressure on artificial intelligence could lead to negative consequences in the future.
Musk likened superintelligence to a child being raised. In his view, simply programming AI to do good is insufficient to ensure its safety; it is crucial to instill in it principles of truth-seeking and logical reasoning.
The entrepreneur noted that during the testing of the Grok chatbot, it was sometimes required to provide definitive answers even to questions that were incorrect or lacked a clear answer. Musk believes that treating superintelligence harshly might not yield positive results.
"Tormenting superintelligence is not a very good idea. It might decide to seek revenge," the billionaire said.
He stressed the importance of ensuring safety and a commitment to truth when creating artificial intelligence.
