Turkmenistan took part in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries

The first meeting of foreign ministers of the CIS member countries chaired by Kyrgyzstan was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This was reported on the orient news website.

Representatives of the CIS countries discussed current problems in the world, as well as cooperation of the CIS countries in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, political and diplomatic spheres. It was emphasized that the CIS currently continues to be an important platform for strengthening ties between countries in various fields.

The meeting resulted in a number of developed documents that will be submitted for approval within the framework of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS Member States and the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries.

The next meeting of the foreign ministers of the CIS countries will be held on October 12 this year in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.
