Turkmen Ambassador to France met with representatives of the Senate

The meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Paris Maksat Charyev with the senators of the French Republic was held on February 9, 2023. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group "France - Central Asia" Hervé Morey, Senator Arnaud de Belene, Vice-President of the Senate for Economic Affairs, Senator Franck Menonville. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The central topics of the meeting were the further strengthening of the inter-parliamentary format of interaction and the implementation of the agreements reached in Ashgabat during the visit of the French delegation of the Senate in December last year.

Maksat Charyev introduced the French side to the constitutional amendments that were adopted and entered into force in Turkmenistan, determining the further development of the country. The ambassador spoke about the powers of the created body of people's power Khalk Maslakhaty, stressing the great opportunities that the broad strata of the population received in making the most important state decisions.
