On February 14, on Tuesday, a humanitarian action was held at the Turkish Visa Center in Ashgabat to collect aid for victims of a large-scale natural cataclysm in the south-east of the Republic of Turkey. Residents of Turkmenistan readily responded to the call of the Embassy of Turkey and took part in the charity fundraiser.
Throughout Valentine's Day, winter warm blankets were received at the visa center, designed to help the fraternal Turkish people in a difficult period for them. Whole families came to the humanitarian aid reception point at the visa center. Children took part in the action together with their parents, handing over warm new blankets for their peers who were left homeless. Many families brought several blankets at once.
The Ambassador of Turkey to Turkmenistan expressed sincere words of support to all not indifferent people. He noted that warm blankets are now very much needed by the victims, as cold weather has established in the region of the disaster.
