The cortege of Russian President Vladimir Putin is accompanied by the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile complex (used as an air defense tool). This was reported by UNIAN, relying on the Russian political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky.
According to the politician, the air defense system in Moscow will protect the car on which the Russian president sits from the possible attack of drones.
"The president of Russia is already moving in the cortege, accompanied by the Pantsir air defense system. This system will prevent a possible drone attack on the cortege,” says Belkovsky.
He noted that the Putin cortege consists of two Aurus cars (a car specially designed for the trip of the president of Russia).
"Putin walks in two Aurus so that it is not known which car he is driving. But this is a common practice for heads of states. He is now’ two tanks', moving through the city in a Pantsir — controlled procession,” he says.
In place of the information, the Russian-made Aurus Senat Limousine armored car for the president of Turkmenistan of 2022 was purchased.
It was in this car that Serdar Berdimuhamedov drove during his visit to Russia on June 10, 2022. The Aurus has the highest ballistic protection in the world and is the safest car.
