The volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan is expected to reach $ 2 billion, the World agency reports.

The embassy of Uzbekistan in Bishkek, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, organized a round table on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. The event was attended by diplomats from Uzbekistan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Diplomatic Academy, scientific intellectuals, Kyrgyz political scientist and experts.

It is noted that Bishkek aims to bring the volume of mutual trade to $ 2 billion. Kyrgyzstan considers it important to carry out the set tasks for the launch of large joint investment projects in the mining and coal industry, industrial cooperation, agricultural processing, energy, construction and other industries. The project of organizing the production of automobile and commercial equipment in Kyrgyzstan was noted separately.

It is noted that Bishkek hopes that the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund will become an effective platform for expanding business relations and increasing trade volume. Hope was expressed for the effectiveness of the activities of trading houses, which will soon open in the capitals of the two states.

Uzbek diplomats informed the participants about the active activities of the parties on the implementation of the China—Kyrgyzstan—Uzbekistan railway construction project. It was noted that bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere has also gained a new pace.
