The UN technical mission highly appreciated the new Turkmen city of Arkadag

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova met with representatives of the UN technical mission and its units who visited the new administrative center of the Akhal Velayat (region), the city of Arkadag, to review and evaluate the development of the city.

During the talks, it was noted that the visit was productive, and UN experts were able to get acquainted with the first "smart city" of Turkmenistan, whose activities are based on the integration of advanced information and communication technologies.

The representatives of the UN technical mission who spoke at the meeting praised the city of Arkadaga and noted that the facilities erected there comply with advanced standards in terms of environmental friendliness, safety and manufacturability.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare elements of the roadmap for the implementation of the recommendations made during the visit of the UN technical mission to the city of Arkadaga.
