The state debt of Uzbekistan reached a record level

Uzbekistan's public debt amounted to $ 29.2 billion in 2022. This is reported by the Ministry of Economy and finance. 

$ 29.2 billion is the highest level of public debt in Uzbekistan. 

It turned out that in the fourth quarter, the state debt reached 36.4 percent compared to the gross domestic product. This is 2.3 percent more than in the previous quarter. 

In the last quarter of 2022, the public debt increased to $ 2.9 billion compared to 2021, and to $ 3.1 billion compared to the third quarter. The country's public debt increased in 2022 to $ 17.6 bn compared to 2017.
