The President of Uzbekistan will participate in the second summit of the leaders of Central Asia and the European Union.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Cholponota (Kyrgyz Republic) on June 2 to participate in the next high-level meeting in the format "Central Asia - European Union".
The leaders of the countries of our region and the President of the Council of Europe Charles Michel are expected to participate in the event.
The issues of further development of constructive dialogue and expansion of practical cooperation of the Central Asian countries with the European Union are on the agenda.
Increasing mutual trade using the GSP+ system, creating favorable conditions for investment and innovation projects and promoting them, introducing "green" energy, realizing the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, digital topical aspects of cooperation in interdependence, ecology, tourism, culture and other areas will be in focus.
A number of bilateral meetings are also planned within the framework of the summit.
It should be noted that the first regional meeting in this format was held on October 27, 2022 in Astana.
