A meeting is held in Kegeyli district on issues of development of industry in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, introduction of renewable energy, employment, poverty reduction.
At the meeting, the president promoted 3 new initiatives aimed at further improving the well-being of the population of Karakalpakstan.
As part of the first initiative, additional funding of Rs 500 crore will be provided directly to each of the 452 neighbourhoods in Karakalpakstan.
To do this, a separate Karakalpakstan neighborhood Support Fund is established, which will be allocated 250 billion soums this year.
- On the eve of the Navruz holiday and “Neighborhood Day”, the neighborhood presidents, encouraged the imams. In Karakalpakstan there is a special system-“Street – biy”. I think that the work of such passionate people who contribute to the improvement of our lives should also be adequately stimulated, " said the head of state.
Second initiative. 47 thousand households in Karakalpakstan today

This is limiting the possibility of taking out a mortgage on our people, a loan to farming on the farm, receiving subsidies, inheriting their living shelter to their children. Therefore, the cadastre of 38,000 people will be fully issued in the next two months.
Third initiative. Today in Karakalpakstan there is a demand for 6.5-7 thousand housing units per year.
Therefore, 2023 will be built 2 times more or 4 thousand housing units than last year.
- In addition, we will create a new opportunity only for residents of Karakalpakstan. That is, 4 acres of land will be allocated for the construction of 4 thousand individual housing on the basis of a modern project. We will also make infrastructure, " said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
