The president of Uzbekistan communicated with the president of Turkey by telephone

On February 6, a telephone conversation of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the president of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place.
The head of our state expressed deep condolences on the occasion of the fact that many people were victims and great casualties were caused by a strong earthquake in the south-eastern regions of Turkey today. The brother expressed words of encouragement to the people of Turkey, the families and loved ones of the deceased and the victims.

Issues of practical cooperation were discussed in order to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. On February 7, a group of humanitarian aid and rescuers is scheduled to be sent from Uzbekistan to Turkey.

The sides also exchanged views on the bilateral agenda and topical aspects of regional cooperation.
