On February 16, 2023, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere condolences to President of Turkmenistan Emomali Rahmon in connection with the large-scale human casualties as a result of a devastating avalanche on the territory of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
