The number of entrepreneurs in Karakalpakstan increased by 2 times

Currently, under the presidency of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting is being held in Kegeyli district on the issues of development of industry in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, introduction of renewable energy, employment, poverty reduction.
It was noted that over the past six years, more than 5,300 projects have been implemented in Karakalpakstan with an investment of 15 trillion soums. The number of entrepreneurs increased 2 times (from 11 thousand to 23 thousand), 46 thousand permanent jobs were created.  

In the 6 districts with the lowest industry in the past, production increased 2-3 times, and its share in Karakalpakstan reached 12 percent (in 2016 – 7 percent).  

In particular, the production of chemical, building materials, food, textile and textile, pharmaceutical industries has grown more than 2 times.
