The monopoly of UzAuto Motors will be terminated

In the future, the projects of 4 prestigious foreign companies will be launched in Uzbekistan, real competition will appear in the automotive industry, and the annual production volume will reach 1 million units (now 350 thousand). Also, the production of electric cars will be increased to 300 thousand per year.

This was stated in the pre-election program of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who has nominated his candidate for the presidential election to be held ahead of schedule at the next congress of UzLiDeP.

"In general, the value added in the industry will reach from 20 billion dollars to 45 billion dollars.

"In order to support the production of high-value-added, exportable products, the Industrial Development Fund will be established and 1 billion dollars will be allocated to it," said the current President.

In addition, in the coming years, it is planned to establish special export zones with 50 prestigious foreign brands and to fully implement the industrial mortgage system in order to provide a building in the form of a "ready-made business" to entrepreneurs.

In each district, 2 new industrial zones will be created, which will create at least a thousand jobs. At the same time, the export of Ay-ti services will amount to 5 billion dollars.

We remind you that at the moment, only UzAuto Motors company covers the needs of the domestic market for passenger cars in Uzbekistan. The low annual production and heavy requirements for the import of foreign cars made this company the only monopoly in the country. To this day, the fact that the company takes a certain part of the payment from the customer at least 8 months in advance, many objections about queues and product quality spread and cause discussions among the general public.
