The delegation of the European Union will visit Uzbekistan

The eurosceptic website states that this visit is taking place at a critical stage for bilateral relations in connection with the Russian war against Ukraine, the upcoming constitutional referendum in Uzbekistan, as well as the signing of an expanded partnership and Cooperation Agreement.

The delegation will hold the 16th Meeting of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee of the European Union – Uzbekistan in Tashkent, together with the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan, and will also meet with representatives of the government.

In addition, the Europarlament delegation will go to the cities of Nukus and Moynok to assess the current situation in Karakalpakstan, including the situation after the events of July 2022, as well as the environmental disaster caused by the drying of the island sea.

Also, the Europarlament delegation addresses support for democratic reform, the rule of Law, Human Rights, and transparency.
