Tajikistan's humanitarian aid delivered to the affected population of Syria

 On the initiative and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, on February 21, two planes delivered humanitarian aid in the form of food, clothing, medical supplies and other basic necessities to Damascus in the amount of 55 tons for the population of the Syrian Arab Republic affected by the earthquake.

On the Syrian side, assistance was received by the Deputy Minister for Local Governance, Mutoz Duhaiji, and a special commission composed of representatives of the relevant authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic. Humanitarian aid of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was officially transferred to the Syrian side.

During the press conference at the Damascus airport, in the presence of a wide range of media representatives, the condolences of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, were conveyed to the people and leadership of Syria in connection with the strongest earthquake.

It was emphasized that Tajikistan, relying on traditionally friendly relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, in these very difficult days lends its shoulder to the affected people of Syria, the transmitted humanitarian aid is a sign of attention and an example of the humanistic policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Deputy Minister for Local Governance of Syria Mutoz Duhaiji, on behalf of the Government and the people of Syria, expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for his timely assistance and support in such a difficult hour.

It was emphasized that the Syrian side will never forget this humanitarian initiative of the President of Tajikistan, as this important measure has increased the respect of the Government and the Syrian people for the Head of State of Tajikistan.
