On February 18, President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad received the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Syria (from residence in Kuwait) Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda.
During the meeting, a message was conveyed from the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic in connection with the strong earthquake in this country.
In turn, Bashar al-Assad, on behalf of the Government and people of Syria, expressed sincere gratitude and gratitude to the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon for his condolences and humanitarian assistance in such a difficult time.
The sides also exchanged views on the expansion and strengthening of bilateral relations in various fields, other important regional and international issues.
Recall that on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, humanitarian aid will be sent to the Syrian people affected by the earthquake in the coming days.
Humanitarian assistance will consist of 50 tons of products and basic necessities, including flour, oil, rice, sugar, pasta, as well as winter clothes and shoes, bedding, antiseptics and medicines.
