Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the New Tashkent project. According to the press service of the head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is also scheduled to participate in the launch of the construction of new energy facilities in the Tashkent region. In the first stage of the new Tashkent project, it is planned to cultivate 6 thousand hectares. Based on this, promising construction areas, schemes of main roads connecting the capital with the new city were developed. The city will be a new administrative and economic center. It will be built in the eastern part of the capital, in the territory of Upper Chirchik and Middle Chirchik districts. It will be designed for 800,000 inhabitants. There are ministries and agencies, higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, theater, library, hotels, residential buildings, parks. In particular, 363 hectares of green areas are planned.
