Today, on June 8, the official welcoming ceremony of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in this country on an official visit, took place at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, the residence of the President of the Republic of Italy.
In honor of the high-ranking guest, a guard of honor and soldiers of the Cavalry Guard lined up in the square in front of the palace. The flags of Italy, Uzbekistan and the European Union were raised on the tower of the Quirinal Palace.
The head of our state was welcomed by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.
The military orchestra played the national anthems of the two countries.
The head of the honor guard reported to the head of our state.
The presidents passed in front of the honor guard and greeted the members of the official delegations.
After the joint photo-taking ceremony, the bilateral meeting of the heads of state began.
