On April 12, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the delegation led by the Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Mustafa Varank. The agenda of the meeting included issues of expanding practical cooperation, supporting and promoting cooperation projects, introducing innovations and advanced technologies, and other aspects of strengthening Uzbekistan-Turkey large-scale strategic partnership relations. The purpose of the delegation's visit to the country at the request of the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is to demonstrate and hand over the first national electric car produced under the Togg brand. The head of state noted today's rapid pace of bilateral cooperation, the activation of mutual dialogue and exchanges at all levels. As an example, it was noted that the volume of trade is steadily increasing, a number of large investment projects are being jointly implemented in priority sectors, and regular air flights between the countries have increased. It was shown that there are wide opportunities for the development of industrial cooperation by involving the leading companies of Turkey in the implementation of joint projects, including those in the automotive industry. Special attention was paid to preparing for the next meeting of the High-level Strategic Partnership Council, including forming a portfolio of promising projects and adopting a long-term industrial program. At the end of the meeting, the Togg electric car was presented. Minister Mustafa Varank gave detailed information about the technical parameters of the vehicle and ceremoniously handed over its key. The leader of the country expressed his gratitude and congratulated the President and the people of Turkey on the great success achieved in the engineering industry - the production of electric cars. The head of state got behind the wheel of this electric car, which was one of the first produced in Turkey, and tried to drive it.
