Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the special representative on sanctions

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the delegation headed by David O'Sullivan, the special representative of the European Union on sanctions, within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum. Various aspects of the multilateral partnership between Uzbekistan and the EU, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, were considered. In the following years, it was noted with satisfaction that the volume of mutual trade, the number of joint ventures and investment projects are increasing, including within the framework of the EU's "GSP+" system of preferences. Opinions were also exchanged on current issues of the international agenda. Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan received a guarantee not to help Russia to circumvent sanctions.
