Reports of a chemical odor in hot water in Tashkent

Residents in Tashkent’s Mirobod, Yakkasaroy, Shayxontohur, Chilonzor, and Yunusobod districts are complaining about an unusual chemical odor coming from their hot water supply. This was reported by the company Veolia Energy Tashkent.
Following these complaints, specialists collected samples from water sources and residential units and have begun laboratory testing. The water is being analyzed for chemical composition, bacteriological content, and odor.
According to the company, the "Tashkent Thermal Power Center" JSC—which supplies water to the network—has been notified of the situation. Necessary measures are being taken to restore water quality to standard levels.
The results of the investigation will be announced once the analyses are complete.
