Separate bus lanes are provided on some streets in Tashkent

The draft resolution of the Cabinet of ministers “on further improvement of passenger transport activities and transportation services provided in the city of Tashkent” was announced.
There are plans to establish a separate bus corridor for Express bus traffic on the streets of Amir Temur, Shahrisabz, Shota Rustaveli and New Sergeli of Tashkent City.

At intersections located on these streets, traffic lights are used to implement a coordinated control system and increase their efficiency by changing the geometric parameters of intersections, introduce passenger unloading/unloading areas for non-directional taxis, introduce regulated pedestrian walkways based on the analysis of traffic accidents depending on the need, and integrate traffic lights into a coordinated system, introduce safety islets, it is also envisaged to carry out the reconstruction of public transport infrastructure facilities in Khol, which is caused by demand and need.

As a result of the implementation of the project, the implementation of the presidential decree “on measures to reform the public transport system”of February 16, 2023 will be ensured, and as a result of the reconstruction of the streets of Tashkent, Amir Temur, Shahrisabz, Shota Rustaveli and New Sergeli, with the creation of a separate bus corridor for fast bus traffic, and changes in geometric parameters of intersections, the bus
