Sadir Japarov met with the modernization of Isik-Gol and Karakol airports 

Today, January 20, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov, during his working trip to the Isik-Lake region, received information about the modernization projects of the Isik-Lake and Karakol international airports.
The head of state was informed about the works carried out by Manas International Airport, the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Therefore, at the airport "Isik-Lake" it is planned to build a new building of the air terminal complex with a capacity of 450 passengers per hour. The current complex was built in 2003 and can no longer cope with the increased passenger traffic. Now the design and forecasting documents of the new complex are being developed, and after passing the state exam, construction and installation work will begin.
In addition, measures are being taken to develop projects for the expansion of the territory of the airport, the installation of an additional fence and the construction of new structures that will protect against mud flows. In the future, a Tamist free economic zone will be created on this site, and the Police Station and Fishermen's SEBs will be liquidated.
On this territory will be located industrial facilities, tourist complexes and other facilities, which will ensure the acceptance of a large influx of foreign guests.
Also in the city of Karakol, the construction of the new building of the terminal complex of the international airport "Karakol" is underway, and an artificial runway is being extended. In the future, the airport will be able to receive next-generation aircraft such as the Embraer and the like, which will also attract and increase the flow of tourists from foreign countries.
President Sadir Japarov instructed to intensify work on the modernization of the Isik-Lake and Karakol airports, which must comply with all international civil aviation requirements.
On the initiative of the Head of State, within the framework of the National Development Program, measures should be outlined to improve the infrastructure of airports in the regions and restore domestic flights.
Airports are planned to be built in the Izik-Gol, Karakol, Naryn, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Talas regions. Now, construction and repair works are carried out at the Batken and "Kazarman" airports.
