January 30, Tashkent City. As a tradition, the general public gathered at the scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after Islam Karimov.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited this place and laid a wreath at the monument to Islam Karimov.
The chambers of the Oliy Majlis, The Presidential Administration and representatives of the government, representatives of Science and culture, intellectuals also paid tribute to the memory of our first president.
El not forgetting the devotees, remembering and appreciating their good deeds is an aspect that shows the nationality of the nation. This is both an example and a virtue for subsequent generations.
Such reverence was manifested at the ceremony. The verses of the Qur'an were recited and blessed. The historical works and noble qualities of the first president in the interests of our country were remembered.
The head of State got acquainted with the progress of the work on the establishment of the Museum of Islam Karimov in the complex.
Flowers were also placed on the statues of Islam Karimov in Samarkand and Karshi.
