Our compatriots won 4 medals at the continental championship

Athletes of our country achieved decent results at the 10th continental indoor athletics championship in Astana, Kazakhstan. On the last day of the championship, participants took part in 13 competitions. Members of the Uzbekistan national team competed for medals in five disciplines. Zahiriddin Kadyrov in the all-around, Barnokhan Sayfullayeva in the high jump, Anvar Anvarov in the long jump, Darya Reznichenko in the girls' final of this event, and Layla Allaberganova, Farida Saliyeva, Kamila Mirsaliyeva, Malika Rajabova tested their abilities in the 400-meter team race. spentOur girls, who started in the 4x400 meters relay race, crossed the finish line in second place. It should be said that on the first day of the championship, Yekaterina Voronina from our compatriot won the gold medal in the pentathlon, while our promising athlete Sharifa Davronova won the second gold medal for our national team in the triple jump program.

Despite being 16 years old, Sharifa showed a result of 13.98 meters at the continental championship among adults, leaving a mark on the athletes who won fame not only in Asian, but also in world athletics, and took a place at the top of the podium. It is noteworthy that in the program where Sharifa participated, record holders of a number of continental championships and participants of the Tokyo Olympics competed. For example, Mariko Marimoto from Japan, who took the 2nd place after Sharifa, is considered a track and field athlete with her place in Asia, while Chen Ting from China, who took the 3rd place, is a participant of the "Tokyo-2020" Olympics. Members of the national team of Uzbekistan finished the championship with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
