Mirziyoyev received the secretary of the European Economic Commission

On April 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Deputy Secretary General of the UN, the Executive Secretary of the European Economic Commission (EEC) Olga Algayerova within the framework of the second Tashkent International Investment Forum. At the meeting, the issues of developing multifaceted cooperation with UN institutions, including the EC, were discussed in order to quickly achieve the goals of sustainable development. It was noted with satisfaction that there is effective cooperation within the framework of the special program for the countries of the Central Asian region. The parties noted that they are interested in continuing exchanges in the issues of Uzbekistan's membership in the World Trade Organization and the implementation of the "Green Space" program, digitization of cargo transportation and textile industry projects. During the conversation, issues of further expansion of cooperation with UNEC in priority areas were discussed.
