Issues of further expansion of relations between Uzbekistan and Italy were discussed

Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto, who visited Uzbekistan on April 26. According to the press service of the President, issues of further expansion of multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Italy were discussed. At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the defense office conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Chairman of the Council of Ministers Giorgio Meloni to the leader of Uzbekistan. Today's level of bilateral cooperation was noted with satisfaction. In the conversation, special attention was paid to the issues of practical cooperation in energy, including renewable energy, logistics, agriculture and other sectors. The head of state emphasized the importance of establishing partnership relations between the defense agencies of Uzbekistan and Italy. They exchanged views on issues of ensuring regional stability and security, including peaceful regulation of the situation in Afghanistan. The Minister of Defense of Italy, Crozetto Guido, met with the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Bahadir Kurbanov, before the reception of the President. At the meeting, the current state of cooperation in the field of security and defense and its development prospects were discussed.
