The record for daily and hourly electricity consumption in Uzbekistan was updated on June 13, according to The Information Service of the Ministry of energy.
According to him, on June 13, a total of 231.7 million kWh of electricity was spent in the country. This amount is a record indicator for the month of June. A year ago, 202 million kWh of electricity was used on the same day, with an increase of 14.7 percent.
By 11:00 on June 14, however, the hourly need volume was 11,080 MW. This means that 1,600 MW (15.4 percent) of electricity was spent when compared to the same date in 2022. This power is almost equal to the power of four steam-gas units or two “round-trip” ies.
It is noted that the record-setting continues today, and daily electricity consumption is expected to reach 238-239 million kWh during the 14th of June. This figure is almost 30 million kWh or 14.8 percent more than the amount of consumption recorded in the corresponding period of 2022.
Even during the most anomalous warm temperature period, which occurred in July 2022, the maximum load was not more than 10,800 MW, and the maximum daily consumption volume was not more than 238.2 million kWh.
As a result of the rise in air temperature, the demand for electricity also increases sharply. As a result, it is natural that there is an increase in downloads in electrical networks and transformer points, and various failures occur in the network. In particular, anomalous hot - circuit conductivity can also be lowered by 20 percent to produce losses in the system.
“Dear compatriots! In our republic, we ask you to use electricity sparingly, as well as cooling devices, as wisely as possible, in order to avoid possible malfunctions caused by overload in electrical devices as a result of anomalous heating of air temperature, when it is not necessary, to disconnect electrical devices from the network.
With this, we will all not only save energy resources, but also prevent the long-term failure of electrical devices. Through this, we make a worthy contribution to the sustainable reach of energy resources to all consumers” " the Ministry of Energy, which appealed to the population, said
