Officials from Russia and the Central African Republic have signed an agreement to introduce Russian language instruction in general education schools. Under the agreement, Russian language classes will be launched for students in the 6th grade and above at three initial schools in the Central African Republic. A subsequent phase of the partnership involves plans to establish a Russian language department at one of the universities in Bangui. Teachers from the "Russian House" in Bangui have been teaching Russian in the country's private schools since 2024. On October 1, it was announced that the Russian language had also been incorporated into the curriculum of state schools. Russia has currently provided 500 Russian language textbooks to the country as part of the project.
