In Uzbekistan, institutions "mahalla nazorati" and "mahalla raisi so‘rovi" will be introduced

The president of Uzbekistan congratulated the employees and activists of the neighborhood system. The text of the congratulation was published by the press service of the head of state.
It is reported that further increasing the role of the neighborhood in socio-economic life will be the center of attention from now on. To this end, the Citizens ' Assembly of the neighborhood is allowed to make proposals to the sessions of local councils of people's deputies in the area where it is located, to participate in the development and discussion of projects of council decisions.

Also, to identify and solve the social problems that are causing objections among the population, the practice of holding discussions by the chairman of the neighborhood, hearing the information of the heads of relevant government bodies and organizations in the neighborhood council every month, institutions “neighborhood control” and “Neighborhood chairman's request” are introduced.

“This year, for the first time in our history, as an experiment, a” neighborhood budget " system is established in one district in each area, leaving part of the property and land tax in the neighborhoods themselves. This is important in the fact that the existing problems in the territory of our neighborhoods are solved directly by them independently. Depending on the practical results of this experiment, we will consider the issue of establishing it in the future throughout our republic. In a word, we will see all the measures to transform neighborhoods into a backbone of civil society, a truly folksy structure,” the congratulatory text says.
