A new road is being built in surkhandarya region connecting two internationally important tracks and serving to reduce the time of delivery of goods to Tashkent.

It is noted that the new road will connect the M39 and M41 highways for a short distance.

At the expense of the ADB, a project is underway to reconstruct the 5—70—kilometer (65-kilometer) section of the 4r105 Darband—Boysun—Elbayan highway in Surkhandarya region and the 128—174—kilometer (46-kilometer) section of the 4r100 Mangüzor-Jharkhand-Bandikhan-Altinsoy-Denov Highway. The total length of the highway to be reconstructed as part of the project is 111 kilometers.

With the reconstruction of these highways, the M39 and M41 highways of international importance passing through the territory of Surkhandarya region were combined at a short distance, and the existing 298-kilometer-long highway for international and local motorists carrying out the traffic to Tashkent City was reduced by 146 kilometers, resulting in a distance of 152 kilometers.

A faulty road in surkhandarya where the president drove a car
When Shavkat Mirziyoyev went to Surkhandarya in mid—March, he drove a car himself, taking into account the objections falling from people regarding the quality of the roads on the Boysun-Denov route. It was then that the president commissioned the governor of Surkhandarya region to repair these roads, and soon after that work began.

According to the data, the project for the reconstruction of 4R-105 kilometers of Darband—Boysun—Elbayan highway in Surkhandarya region and 128-174 kilometers of 4R-100 Manghuzor—Jarqurgan—Bandikhan—Altinsoy—Denov Highway (total 111 kilometers) will be increased from the funds of the Asian Development Bank.
