Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Alexey Overchuk in Ashgabat

Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, who arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit. This is reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

The parties noted excellent prospects for the continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan in the trade and economic sphere, in the agro-industrial complex, transport, communication and logistics spheres. Also during the dialogue, the importance of strengthening cooperation between the countries in the field of environmental safety and water management was emphasized.

The parties paid attention to the discussion of humanitarian cooperation, in particular, the topic of healthcare. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew the attention of the interlocutor to the high potential of cooperation between the countries in this area, due to the construction of new medical facilities in Turkmenistan.
