Graduates of secondary schools

My dear children!
From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all of you on receiving your matriculation certificates and entering into an independent life.

On this long-awaited day on May 25, the "last bell" sounds in more than 10 thousand schools of the country, about 392 thousand boys and girls say goodbye to their native school and beloved teachers. More than 12 thousand graduates complete the school with gold medals, more than 2 thousand – with silver, which undoubtedly gives the holiday a special, even greater solemnity.

This is a very joyful and exciting event not only for you, my dear children, but also, of course, for us – parents, teachers and mentors.

On the way to modern knowledge, mastering popular professions, finding a worthy place in society, limitless opportunities are waiting for you, which are enshrined in our updated Constitution.

Undoubtedly, young people like you, who are striving to use their knowledge, talents and potential, to become worthy sons and daughters of the Motherland, are a golden fund, an invaluable asset of the New Uzbekistan.

My dear sons and daughters!

Today, a period of national recovery has begun in the development of our Motherland. As you know, we pay special attention to the development of the education system. In 2023, declared the Year of Caring for People and Quality Education, we have adopted a special State program, we are implementing a set of measures designed to bring the development of the sphere to a new level, strengthen the role and status of teachers and mentors in society.

Currently, there are more than 10 thousand state general education, Presidential, specialized and creative schools in our country, many non-state educational institutions and schools in the form of public-private partnership.

Last year alone, 807 schools worth 3.2 trillion soums were built and repaired. This year, 40 thousand modern computers, 442 sets of robotics and other necessary equipment have been delivered to secondary educational institutions.

In the Barkamol Avlod children's schools, children's and youth sports schools, large-scale spiritual and educational events are held, consistent work is being carried out to increase the interest of young people in reading books, their active involvement in literature, art and sports circles.

It is gratifying that as a result of such work, schoolchildren of the country this year won 2 gold, 15 silver, 27 bronze medals at regional and international subject Olympiads, 6 of our gifted girls became laureates of the Zulfiya State Prize.

In order for students to find a profession already in school years, it was determined that the 11th grade should give a start to adulthood, a system of teaching boys and girls at least two foreign languages and obtaining one modern profession with the involvement of entrepreneurs is being introduced.

Dear graduates!

Uzbekistan has recently opened up great opportunities for our purposeful and energetic youth. 210 higher educational institutions of the country, 330 vocational schools, about 400 colleges and technical schools serve as a platform for your becoming full-fledged personnel and qualified specialists in selected fields.

In order to ensure that students receive higher education on–the-job in 154 universities, correspondence and distance learning forms are organized in 15 universities.

The creation of mono-centers, IT and technology parks, where young people get modern professions and learn to run their own business, became a requirement of the time.

Local khokimiyats, sector leaders, mahalla assets will become your advisers and assistants so that you can take a worthy place in society. For such a noble purpose, their doors are always open to you.

I am sure that having effectively used the created opportunities, in the future you will work fruitfully at modern manufacturing enterprises, in firms and companies, state and non-state organizations of the country, with your knowledge and professionalism you will make a great contribution to the prosperity of our Motherland.

I would like to emphasize once again that every young man and every girl who graduated from school today will be surrounded by the attention and care of the people and the state.

Even higher and more responsible frontiers are waiting for you. We will use all our strength and capabilities to ensure that each of you takes a worthy place in life.

I ask you, my dear boys and girls: study tirelessly, search and learn, master modern knowledge! If you value your precious time, constantly improve, confidently go to your cherished dreams, plans and goals, then you will definitely reach great heights.

I am sure that you will always set a high bar for yourself, rally on this path. You can do it.
