Government agencies will be moved to New Tashkent in stages

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is giving a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the New Tashkent project.
It is noted that the area chosen for this project is 500 meters above sea level and is unique in its proximity to the city, its climate, its bahá'í faith and its location between the two rivers.

The current Tashkent covers an area of 43 thousand hectares. Within the framework of the New Tashkent project, favorable conditions will be created for an additional 20 thousand hectares to accommodate 1 million inhabitants and will be provided with suitable infrastructure.

In the first stage, apartment buildings for 60 thousand residents, 30 schools, 20 kindergartens, a multidisciplinary hospital and 5 family polyclinics will be built. New Uzbekistan university, new buildings of the National Library, Theater, schools of creativity, shopping and service centers will also be located here.

It is reported that in stages, government agencies will also move to New Tashkent. On the site of their current buildings, hotels, Service and trade facilities are opened, Tashkent becomes a modern tourist and business center.
