Furqat Siddiqov started as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States

Furqat Siddikov began his career as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States of America. This was announced by him on his Twitter page.
"Today I met with the ambassador, chief of protocol Rufus Gifford and presented a copy of the credentials. We have effectively talked about ways to further deepen the long-standing bilateral ties between our countries," Furqat Siddikov said.

On 3 March, the Senate of the House of Commons approved the nomination of Furqat Siddikov for the post of Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States.

Furqat Siddikov was born on 7 February 1971 in Tashkent. In 1993 he graduated from Tashkent State Technical University. UzDaewoo Electronics has held positions of Chief Specialist (1993-1995), staff, senior research fellow, leading research fellow (1995-2002, 2007-2011) at the Institute of Strategic and Regional Studies under the President.

At the embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States, he served as attashe (2002-2007), First Secretary of this embassy (2011-2015), Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan (2015-2020).

Furqat Siddikov was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in May 2020, he was working in the post of First Deputy Minister of foreign affairs since November 2022.

Since 2017, the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in the United States has been headed by Javlon Vahobov.
