Financial assistance provided to religious entities in Azerbaijan

On February 8, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on providing financial assistance to religious entities in Azerbaijan.

According to the Order, in order to provide financial assistance to religious entities in Azerbaijan, 2023 million manats were allocated to the Caucasus Muslims Board from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 1, 350,350 manats to religious education, 350,350 manats to the Baku and Azerbaijani Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, and 350,350 to the Religious Community of Mountain Jews of Baku manats, the Baku religious community of European Jews - <> thousand manats, religious education Apostolic Prefecture of the Catholic Church in the Republic of Azerbaijan - <> thousand manats and the Albanian-Udi Christian religious community of the Republic of Azerbaijan - <> thousand manats, as well as the Foundation for the Promotion of Spiritual Values subordinate to the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Work with Religious Entities for the purpose of material support for other non-Islamic religious communities – <> thousand manats.

The Ministry of Finance has been instructed to provide financing in the amount specified in this Order.
