Farhad Abdullayev: Experts in international law should give an unequivocal assessment of Armenia's position

The indestructible political will and determination of the head of our state Ilham Aliyev, the power of our army and the mobilization of our people around the President of the country for the sake of this goal ensured a brilliant victory for Azerbaijan. The victory inspires our entire society, including the courts, which are an integral part of it, encourages them to work more responsibly in the field of ensuring the direct effect of the Constitution, establishing the rule of law, restoring human rights and freedoms in the liberated territories.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev at the international conference on "The Role of Supreme Courts in Justice: Positive Experience and Modern Challenges" held in Baku.

He noted that although the liberation of our lands from occupation creates the basis for the restoration of a number of rights of our citizens enshrined in the Constitution, the refusal of the military-political leadership of Armenia to provide maps of minefields impedes the implementation of these rights in a practical way.

"The international community and experts in the field of international law should give an unequivocal assessment of this position of the Armenian government in the name of peace and freedom. Today we are witnessing a process of rapid reconstruction of the territories liberated from occupation. All the large-scale projects being implemented serve to revive these areas, resettle the population here and at the same time create the basis for turning these territories into a highly developed region," Farhad Abdullayev emphasized.
