Twitter CEO Elon Musk has confirmed plans to rebrand the social network.
T(w)itter Daily News published a post on its account citing Musk's recent statement, in which the businessman said that the functionality of the social network will expand in the future, and therefore the Twitter brand will not match it.
He also said that the updated platform will be able to publish longer posts, videos, share messages and use financial services than the old Twitter.
A few hours later, a confirmation comment from Musk appeared under the portal post.
"That's right," the businessman wrote, but did not give details.
Earlier, it was known that Twitter practically ceased its independent activity after merging with Elon Musk's X Corp company. According to the decision of the Florida District Court, the legal merger took place on April 4, 2023.
