Ashxabat hosted a meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission

On Monday, February 6, the regular 15th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on customs, consular and border issues was held. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Turkmenistan.

The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant departments and ministries. The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Khadzhiev. The head of the Iranian delegation is Alireza Bikdeli, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon the implementation of bilateral agreements that were reached during the previous meeting of the Commission, which was held in Tehran in 2019. The parties stressed the need to strictly comply with the agreements reached.
