In the World Air Quality rating of the largest cities in the world, Bishkek has risen to 5th place. At 18.00 the status of the city is marked as "unhealthy". The air quality index, according to the site, is 158 (AQI). Note that since last week, the site does not display data from all sensors. The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Emergency Situations associated this with the technical problems of the resource, emphasizing that the departments had nothing to do with this. Later, the Hydrometeorological Service reported that the information from their sensors was displayed on the IQAir website on their initiative following negotiations with the ADB and the team of the resource itself. Now technical issues are being resolved regarding the extension of the contract with the supplier company. Therefore, there are failures in data transmission to the IQAir website. The US Embassy in Kyrgyzstan also installed the station. Information is updated every hour. The air quality index in the diplomatic mission area is "unhealthy" - 175 (AQI).
