A new theater named after A. Gulmammedov is being built in the center of the Ahal velayat of Turkmenistan

On the territory of the "smart city" arkadag, which is the new administrative center of the Ahal velayat of Turkmenistan, a modern theater is being built. This was reported in the online publication "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age".

The State Drama Theater was named after Aman Gulmammedov, a talented Turkmen director, playwright and actor, who is rightfully considered the founder of theatrical art in Turkmenistan.

As reported in the publication earlier, the name of the theater was assigned on the basis of the Resolution of the Mejlis Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan in December 2022.

Aman Gulmammedov was born in 1908 in the Geoktepa etrap of the Ahal velayat of the country. Throughout his long creative life, the artist created many bright memorable images, going from a simple actor to the director and director of the Mollanepes State Drama Theater of Turkmenistan.
