A new mayor was appointed to the city of Nurafshan

Before his appointment, Ilhom Qilichkhanov worked as the deputy head of the control inspection in the field of construction and housing and communal services. Earlier, Kun.uz reported that the Mayor of Nurafshan, Muzaffar Soliyev, was fired. According to the Kun.uz source, the former mayor may be involved in the investigation at the moment. It is said that the reason for this is related to the period when he worked as Minister of Housing, Communal Economy. The Prosecutor General's Office stated that it has no information about this. Muzaffar Soliyev worked as the Minister of Housing and Communal Services from July 5, 2017 to January 2021. He was fired after a critical meeting held at the Cabinet of Ministers. On January 15, 2021, he was appointed the mayor of Nurafshan.
