3 state banks will remain in Uzbekistan, the rest will be privatized

3 state banks remain in Uzbekistan, the rest are privatized. This was announced by the candidate for the presidency of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev from Uzlidep in his campaign program.

According to him, until 2030, the following works will be carried out:

The annual lending volume in the banking and financial system will be increased from the current $ 18 billion to $ 40 billion.

Loans for entrepreneurs are reduced from an average of 20 percent to 10-12 percent.

To achieve these goals:

- the volume of bank deposits is increased by 4 times (from 70 trillion soums to 260 trillion soums).

- bank privatization will be accelerated. Only 3 banks remain at the disposal of the state (“Milliybank",” people's Bank “and”Agrobank");

— there will be an opportunity for at least 4 more large prestigious foreign banks to enter the banking market.
