Two individuals suspected of attempting to kidnap people for payment have been arrested in Tashkent, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The suspects allegedly forced a citizen into a vehicle, but the victim resisted and managed to escape. Following an operation, both suspects were detained. An axe was found in the trunk of their car.
An examination of their phones revealed Telegram conversations with the person who allegedly ordered the kidnapping. The messages contained instructions to abduct another individual and, if necessary, render the victim unconscious using a stun gun.
The suspects reportedly waited outside the second target's workplace for nearly four hours. However, they postponed their plan after learning that the person had left on a business trip.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 137 of Uzbekistan's Criminal Code
