Nilufar Hamidova sentenced to 7 days in administrative detention

Actress Nilufar Hamidova has been found guilty of petty hooliganism and sentenced to seven days of administrative detention, according to the press service of the Tashkent City Courts.

On November 5, the Yunusabad District Criminal Court reviewed the administrative case against her. The court found Hamidova guilty under Article 183 of Uzbekistan’s Code of Administrative Responsibility.

Earlier, a video filmed by the actress on a street and near a bus stop sparked widespread public outrage on social media. Law enforcement authorities conducted an investigation into the incident.

Hamidova publicly apologized and promised not to produce similar videos again. Following the investigation, the administrative case was referred to court.
