Tragedy struck at the Salvadoran national football championship.
During the match between Alliance and FAS in the capital of the country, San Salvador, there were traffic jams. It was noted that a large influx of fans tried to get into the stands despite the gates being closed.
It is assumed that fake tickets were sold to some fans, and therefore riots arose. At the same time, an investigation into the incident is underway.
According to official data, at least 12 people were killed in the traffic jams, at least 500 people needed medical attention, and many of them were taken to the hospital.
At the same time, the Salvadoran championship match was suspended.
